Join us on Saturday, October 4th to raise money for Shannin’s fight against stage 4 colon cancer.
At the age of 26, in April 2024, Shannin was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Since being diagnosed, she has undergone multiple surgeries and has completed over 25 rounds of chemotherapy. Shannin has been given less than three years to live, but it's no surprise that she refuses to accept her prognosis and is continuing to fight! She’s currently exploring more treatment options that aren’t offered or covered here in Canada, and with that comes a big out-of-pocket cost.
To support Shannin’s fight, we're hosting a 5k run/walk that will start and end at the Town Brewery Pump House on the Whitby waterfront. The 5k will be followed by a celebration in the beer garden, with beer and a food truck.
Registration is a minimum donation of $30 and includes a beer to enjoy at the post-5k celebration. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
This will be a rain or shine event & is dog-friendly!
